This old-school Blueberry, also known as “Berry Blue,” is an indica-dominant strain comprised of 80% indica and 20% sativa created by breeder DJ Short in the 1970s. He began crossbreeding landrace strains that developed in the wild without human interference. He crossed an Afghani indica with a Highland Thai sativa and Purple Thai sativa, yielding the hybrid strain aptly named for its fresh blueberry fragrance and taste and bright blue hues in its leaves and buds.
It’s also a very potent strain with a THC content of between 16% and 23.5% and a CBD level of around 0.26%.
